Quebec today has pledged five million dollars to grow the Bota Bota floating spa its popular spa in Montreal.
The cash is expected to fund a second boat for the fleet. Visitor numbers have been rising, prompting the move, as reported by local media said. The province has not released any more financial information.
Work is slated to start this spring, later this season, and the new vessel should to be operating by early 2027. Officials say the expanded space will cut wait times and lift tourism income. The newly added capacity is expected to ease congestion during peak days.
