Edmonton Oilers player Frederik Andersen is set to miss the upcoming training camp due to an offseason issue. He is not the sole player sidelined. Four players in all are expected to miss the camp with off-season injuries. The group includes Janmark and Savoie together with one additional player. Leading sports media like NHL.com, TSN, Sportsnet.ca, and Yahoo Sports noted that these four players are sitting out training.
They have not been cleared to skate yet. An insider report from the Edmonton Journal says key injured Oilers players could stay out until late October.
