Gwinllan y Dyffryn literally translates to The Vale Vineyard, a place of stunning beauty where views of the North Welsh countryside surround the vineyard.
www.vineyardmagazine.co.ukPenarth Vineyard is a small Welsh site where Bernard and Tanya Herbert planted their first vines in 1999. By 2001 all 10 acres were bearing fruit, with varieties including Madeleine Angevine and Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier and Chardonnay for sparkling wine. Wines are produced by Three Choirs at Newent. The site remains without its own winery, relying on external production.
