Carlton AFL players Will Hayward and Lachie Cowan were both hospitalised following separate incidents, leading the club to begin investigations into each case. Carlton will hand its findings over to the AFL once the review is complete.

The AFL has issued Carlton a formal please explain over the matters. A potential punishment loophole is also under scrutiny. Hayward's partner was reportedly away at a hen's party event when the house party incident involving him took place. Senior figures at the club are said to be deeply angry about what happened.
