A marine mammal was relocated from Marineland in Niagara Falls, Ontario to a Chicago aquarium. It died a short time later. The move was completed before the loss.
Marineland also relocated four dolphins and two belugas to an aquarium in Spain. Now the park no longer houses dolphins. Only belugas stay at the park.
The transfer left the grounds much quieter. Staff inspect the water and health conditions. Visitors notice a smaller number of animals. The park’s visitor count dropped.
The wooded surroundings remain the same. The water remains strong. The park retains a small number of belugas. Visitors observe fewer scheduled shows. The water stays clear.
